Information Technology

Children have lessons in the IT lab from Reception right through to Year Eight. By the time children leave us they are well versed in the skills necessary to produce coursework, assignments and investigation write-ups. All children are trained in graphic skills, layout, word-processing, data handling and research.

The school is equipped with some eighty Macintosh workstations and all children have a networked user account. The software we use includes Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as FileMaker Pro and Adobe PhotoShop. Much of our word processing work is carried out using Pages, part of the iWork suite, and our graphic work by using Intaglio from Purgatory Design

We have recently invested in a leased internet connection via a radio link which gives connection speeds in excess of 10 Mbps.
