Boarding

So why do children love boarding at Moor Park?  Overwhelmingly, they will say it is the friendships they develop as they live and work together.  Through boarding, children learn to be independent but in a secure and safe environment.  In the evenings, Matrons are the big sisters they may have had at home and teaching staff get to relax in their company.

Memories are certainly made at Moor Park.  Evenings are spent playing and relaxing; whether it is in the cricket nets or the pool, or in a game of hide and seek in the main house followed by a ghost story by the fire.  Memories such as these last a lifetime.

Boarding at Moor Park is flexible, offering something to suit everybody.  Some children board one night a week, others two, three or fournights and to some Moor Park is home during term time.  It is interesting to note that many of our boarders have nagged and persuaded their parents to let them board more.

As Houseparents, our overriding aim is to ensure the happiness of each and every child.  This is achieved through the care and commitment shown by our team of dedicated staff who provide the entertainment, the guiding hand and the listening ear.

Boarders range in age from 7-13.  Years 5-8 board in School House, a homely environment, perfect for hot chocolate, toast and movies.  Year 3 and 4 board in our purpose built Junior Boarding House, The Tree House.  Sleeping 20 and newly opened, it is an ideal first taste of boarding for the younger children.  We really believe it would be hard to find better junior accommodation anywhere in the country.

Boarding at Moor Park is a lively and friendly place to be and there is always something new to learn and experience.  We are passionate about making boarding at Moor Park the best it can be and welcome anyone who would like to join us.
