Welcome to Science at Moor Park School.

Questions, questions, questions!!!!!! How many times have we been asked a question where we don't know the answer? For example:
How long does it take light from the sun to reach the earth? OR
How many microbes are there on my body?

Without questions scientists wouldn't have found out any answers!!

Here at Moor Park we believe that Science is not just a subject to be studied as part of the curriculum but involves a much broader breadth of study, particularly in such an environment as we have at Moor Park. We believe that to find out about anything you have to learn to ask questions: observe carefully and then ask more questions.

Studying Science makes it easier to answer some of the questions you ask as you will have more understanding and knowledge available yet be safe and have fun at the same time

Here at Moor Park, Science is taught by the form teachers up to Year 2. Then from Year 3 to Year 8 it is taught by specialist teachers in fully equipped laboratories.
