Upper school - Extra Curricular Activities

The School offers an extensive programme of early evening activities, the options being listed in the termly School Calendar. The aim of the programme is to extend and complement the main academic and sporting curriculum and also to provide the opportunity for hobby/fun sessions that are structured and constructive. While the activity programme is essentially optional, we encourage children to stay and benefit from the range of activities on offer, which adds to the breadth of their education. “Compulsory” activities are sometimes necessary – for example in preparation for a play. The aim is to provide a rounded, varied programme so that all children will find at least one activity a night appealing. It is a time when children should enjoy the breadth of opportunity on offer at Moor Park.

Junior Activities (Year 3, and Year 2 in the Summer term) take place every day between 4.30 pm and 5.25pm. Senior activities (Year 4 to year 8) take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 5.30pm and 6.25pm.

The children can choose their activities at the end of each term for the following term and stay in that activity throughout the term.  A selection of the large number of activities which are or have recently been offered is shown below.
