| Recycling | 3 March 2008 |
| We have now extended our recycling activities to cover glass and tins. Shropshire Waste Management services have provided us with 2 'banks', one for tins and the other for glass. They are situated between the Henderson Hall and the back kitchen entrance. Parents are welcome to use these to recycle glass if it will save a trip to the local recycling centre. We are also going to take our plastic milk containers and tetrapacks to our local centre in an attempt to recycle even more and reduce our landfill contribution. It is worth pointing out that the school now recycle paper, cardboard, food, glass, tins, some plastic and tetrapacks. As the children get involved in this we hope they will begin to encourage these good habits. | |

| Panorama - One Click from Danger | 7 January 2008 |
| Year 8 were allowed to watch this documentary which clearly showed how simple it is for adults to prey on innocent children via chat rooms on the Internet. They came away shocked at how simple it would be to attract the wrong kind of attention. We have recorded the programme and will show it to more senior pupils in due course. There is a police website for reporting any suspected abuse of chat rooms - Click here to acess the CEOP site. This is a police site for reporting internet abuse. | |
