Welcome to Moor Park

Moor Park is a truly independent, co-educational Prep School nestled in 85 acres of beautiful rural Shropshire, adjacent to the market town of Ludlow.

In an increasingly challenging and fast-paced modern world, we give our children the space to enjoy a traditional, wholesome childhood – to explore our extensive parkland and woods, establish life-long friendships on and off our lively boarding wing and to learn in an environment that encourages and inspires curiosity.

We sincerely believe there is no better place to experience childhood in all its muddy, magical glory. The benefits of playing and learning outside of the constraints of a traditional classroom are well known, and at Moor Park outdoor education is integrated into our weekly curriculum, promoting holistic development by nurturing our pupils’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.

As school founded on Catholic principles, we value kindness, integrity and tolerance. Our school community shares a common goal – to help raise good humans who will contribute to society and reap the rewards from leading a good life. Children are celebrated in all their rich diversity. Each given the opportunity to shine and the tools to meet each challenge with an open mind and ‘have a go’ attitude.

Our remarkable record of academic and creative scholarships and prizes offered to our Leavers each year by a wide variety of independent senior schools and colleges evidence our reputation for academic excellence led by our terrific team of teaching staff.

The Moor Park Mindsets underpin all areas of the curriculum and promote vital life skills, including resilience, critical thinking and confidence. These are the skills which will take the children through their senior school and beyond to pursue careers which in many cases do not exist yet.

Above all we want to allow children to learn, explore, play and grow. To fail (before they succeed) in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.

The children here challenged to make the most of every opportunity.

Why not come and visit us, to see what opportunities await your child?
